Wow, it was big fun my first cross-country-night biking with Tristan from impuls’n’coaching. We were 4 guys equipped with good spotlight starting in Biel at 18:45. First we drove on street up to Beaumont, exercised spinning a little faster than normal and spinning faster and slower with free hands … Tristan and his ideas for exercises :-)
At Beaumont we went in the forest, starting the cross-country party … I felt back in times I was a little scout, great feelings. By talking and spinning it was the most easy uphill drive to Magglingen until now. In the dark the feelings are different, time is passing fast and you don’t really recognize the steepness.
At Magglingen the fog was gone and the stars were shining, it was a bit cold at 1 degree. I don’t know the time we arrived at Magglingen sports scool „End der Welt“ but I felt easy. Then after a little pause we saw it at new cross-country-biking is a dangerous sport, a small inattention or even a technical problem and you’re flying high from the bike. Shit happens one mate toke injuries to fingers and hand, he had to visit the hospital with Tristan. I do not know how he doing, well I hope and wish good recovery.
Together with Sandro we took the downhill until to Biel – the easy way! This downhill ride in the dark was a great experience. At 21:30 I was back at home, took a warm shower and a fresh hot Minestrone … what a lucky evening :-)
